Still-point

Still-point
Psalm 119.102-103

“Exhale the old, inhale the new!” this moment comes.

Four minutes seems the logical limit of the now.

Being present might mean seeing truly or doing sums.

Creator brings all needed as turbulent winds sough.

Our task: maintain balance in this very moment of time.

Walk alertly; move gracefully along the day’s path.

Being ever precedes doing, notes Spirit’s rhyme.

Each faithful presence brings love, kindness, not wrath;

Now encompasses all, entering it brings life.

The One sees all in the now, we glimpse the sublime.

Word Become Flesh attends truth no matter strife.

Spirit enchants, encourages, celebrates with new wine.

A disciple’s discipline: never stray far from one’s master.

Begin conscious day with still-point reflection, contemplation.

With this perspective, life gains a gentle pace, no momentum faster.

No event, nor conflict, nor ego dashing clash causes fear’s elation.

Attuned to the day’s truth, simply pause to regain peace.

Distraction, absorption, evasion bring their corporate demands.

The Scatterer truly enjoys making love, justice cease.

Creator empowers the Now folk to use well time’s sands.

Worry not; fret little; Word Become Flesh walks beside.

Grand outcomes proceed from moments faithfully done.

Healthy ego derives from wholeness, in truth abides.

What needs be done, will happen, as the now is won.

Historians studiously gather each strand of the now.

Accounts of meaning become stories grand to tell;

Your life brings a marvelous witness, won’t you allow?

Stirring drama, passionate exchanges drawn from life’s well.

Quiet the heart, calm the emotion, enter the now this day.

Give over control to Spirit’s wisdom and Creator’s joy.

Become the verdant soul The One keeps true to the way.

Wondrously, the now, will all your gifts employ.
